156: Furry Friends of 2020: Otto

I lived on the main highway side between Dibba and Fujairah, a hostile and uncaring area with my mum and siblings, until the Stray Dogs Centre, UAQ, rescued me. I was a few weeks old then. The humans at Stray Dog Centre cared, nurtured and loved me until I found my forever home when I was five months old.

Here’s what my family has to say about me:
“A pandemic joke – Raise your hand if you got through the pandemic without having a baby, getting an air fryer or a pet. We got the air fryer and the pet 😂

When we met Otto (then Nigel), it was love at first sight. He was relaxed but observed curiously from the corner of his eyes. We got him home, and he fit right in like he’s always been around. We’ve loved watching him settle in, push the boundaries and grow confident. He was nervous on the lead, and now, he loves his walks.

Otto has been a blessing and changed our lives for the better. We wake up each morning to hugs, licks and unconditional love instead of thinking about our to-do list. We’ve learnt to paws and reflect.

Our family feels complete. We’re grateful.”
