Content Guidelines

At Humansof2020.com, we have the goal of creating a safe and comfortable space for everyone to discover and create.

In order to create a respectful space, we want to ensure our users know what type of content they will discover as well as content they can or cannot post.

Before you share your story, please take review the following guidelines:

  • It’s important to respect and protect other story sharers’ feelings, property, and personal information.
  • You shouldn’t post anything you might regret in the future, or that your peers, friends, family, or others might not want to see online.
  • You should read our Content Guidelines, Code of Conduct, Terms of Service, and our Privacy Policy so you have all the information you need to use Humansof2020.com.

What We Remove

The following are not allowed on Humansof2020.com. This is not a complete list, and we have the right to remove any content that we find inappropriate. Any content that could put our community at risk will be removed. Humansof2020.com has the right to remove content without notice. 

Sexual Content on Humansof2020.com

  • Pornographic Content. com considers content to be pornographic when it exists for the purpose of sexual stimulation or solicitation.
  • Glorification of Sexual Violence. Content on com cannot be encouraging or promoting of consensual or non-consensual sex acts.
  • Sexual Messaging. com does not permit sexual messages or solicitation. This includes posting content which encourages sexual private messages, on or off Humansof2020.com, or posting any communications intended for sexual purposes.

Media on Humansof2020.com

Media on Humansof2020.com includes images and text. To help keep Humansof2020.com a safe space for everyone to create and discover content, we may remove content that don’t follow our Content Guidelines. The following Media is not allowed on Humansof2020.com, and will be removed:

  • Media containing full or part exposure of any private parts.
  • Media displaying sexual intercourse, or any other sexual act, regardless of whether private parts are visible.
  • Media displaying self-harm or suicide.
  • Images of people posted without their consent.
  • Any other media which captures an illegal act.
  • com has the right to remove any media deemed unfit for Humansof2020.com.

Violence

There are many forms of violence that can be harmful to our community. We will remove any content are intended to shock or disgust our community.

On Humansof2020.com, you are not allowed to make physical threats of violence or threats of death towards any individual or group of people. We will not allow stories that glorify, praise or romanticize current real life violent hate groups, figures, or extremist organizations with violent or hateful intentions. This includes:

  • Groups that express a violent mission.
  • Organized hate groups.
  • Terrorist activity.

Commenting on stories

Sharing opinions on stories is ok. We aim to create a safe community for everyone on Humansof2020.com, so be kind, respectful, and please treat others as you would want to be treated, so don’t post any content that:

  • Targets a user purely for personal reasons.
  • Reveals any personally identifying information about other people, including private messages, photographs/videos. 
  • Actively promotes violence or hatred. The promotion of hatred on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, age, or sexual orientation, or content that is intended to bully, threaten, or harass others, is also strictly prohibited. 

Spam

Any content that advertises products or services unrelated to, or not sanctioned by Humansof2020.com is not permitted and will be removed.

CODE OF CONDUCT

At Humansof2020.com, we want to enable people to share their stories in a safe and comfortable.

  • When you use (or create) your name, make sure it’s not hateful or explicit in nature.
  • It’s important to respect and protect other story sharers’ feelings, property, and personal information.
  • You shouldn’t post anything you might regret in the future, or that your peers, friends, family, or others might not want to see online.
  • You should read our Content Guidelines, Code of Conduct, Terms of Service, and our Privacy Policy so you have all the information you need to use Humansof2020.com.

Comments & Feedback

Constructive comments are welcomed, as long as they are given in a respectful manner. You may read content that you don’t like or agree with, but we are a platform that celebrates diversity, encourages expression, and fosters a safe and creative environment.

Sharing Personal Information

Behaviour that puts a user at personal risk, or revealing personal identifying information about someone else, such as sharing an image without consent is not allowed.

Copyright Infringement

Please respect your fellow story sharers and don’t post content that you haven’t  developed yourself.

Spam

Humansof2020.com should not be used solely for the purpose of advertising goods or services. Spam involves, but is not limited to, contacting people with unwanted and excessive messages or comments (for example: when promoting a story). This can include sending bulk comments to people’s stories.

Positive Language

Users have the right to determine their level of engagement, as long as they aren’t abusing, harassing, or discriminating against an individual. Remember that even if you don’t intend it, your words can be hurtful, discriminatory, or even hateful and a breach our Code of Conduct.

Action

We want your experience to be positive and uninterrupted, however if you violate any of our policies, we have a system in place that tracks these violations. In most cases, we’ll send you a warning before we take other measures. Any repeat offenders may have their stories closed.
